Steve jobs was a visionary who's greatest gift was to design and provide, simple, elegant but incredibly powerful tools to anyone and everyone who chose to use them.

There was a time in the not too distant past, when you had to count letters and spaces in text, give it to a typesetter who gave it back to you in printed form... you cut it all out and stuck it down on CS10 board... with Cow Gum! When you printed out photo's and artwork... cutting that out with a scalpel and sticking that down. When you sprayed paint onto art board... with an airbrush. And when you couldn't actually publish anything in full colour unless you had considerable sums of cash to spare!

Thanks Steve... for liberating art, graphic design, music... and for providing the tools for the new digital age... for PIXAR for CGI... for super realistic computer games. For so much that we so easily take for granted... but before Apple, would have been impossible.
